This work covers some aspects of the complex situation that education has experienced in Ecuador in the period of the health emergency due to the Covid 19 pandemic. It raises crucial issues that have played against the right to education; it reveals the central role that teachers and families have had; and, places some challenges for the near future aimed at recovering the sense of the public, to reinvent education under the condition of connecting with structural changes that put education, health, employment at the center of the country's political agenda. and social protection with an inclusive approach to all.
