O TEATRO DO PODER E O CONTRATEATRO DO CAMPESINATO PARAIBANO: NEGOCIAÇÃO, TÁTICAS E RESISTÊNCIAS (1935-1945)
Abstract
This article discusses the relationship between theatricality state policy and receptions held by the field workers, in Paraíba, between 1935-1945. It starts with the idea that governments Argemiro and Ruy de Figueiredo Carneiro, respectively, stimulated the invention of a political culture of the spectacle as part of the search for political legitimacy. However, this spectacle was part of the official political power relations between state and taken classes, a process mediated by resistance and negotiations in the context of the New State.Downloads
