The dossier presents a set of manuscripts that seek to understand who these reforms are for and what proposals for socio-educational changes these initiatives present or not. Thus, the dynamics of the curriculum movement in Basic Education and Higher Education in Brazil and in one of the African States, São Tomé and Príncipe, is socialized from different texts. With regard to Brazil, curricular reforms have been occurring in a turbulent and distant way from the actors and the realities of the schools. The texts reflect these concerns, pointing to weaknesses and fragmentations inherent in the initial process of construction and alleged development of policies.
