Abstract: This article aims to characterize the perspective of digital culture at school, presenting its main challenges and contributions to teaching and learning. The theme emerged from the experiences of the Supervised Internships I and II of the Pedagogy Course (San Francisco de Cajazeiras College), through which we noted the lack of use of new technologies in the classroom. In addition, considering the National Common Curricular Base, digital culture is now seen as one of the core competences for basic education. Thus, we seek to answer the following question: how can the perspective of digital culture contribute to the teaching and learning process at school? Through a bibliographical research, based on Kenski (2007), Santos (2018) and Silva (2011); we essentially understand that the insertion of digital culture in the school can favor an environment of reflection, criticality and creativity, which demands an adequate methodology to the student's social profile in the face of the knowledge society.
