Female representation in the Exact Sciences is still low, particularly in Physics, where women who manage to enter and progress in preparation and career are rare. Considering gender inequalities and aiming to make visible the success story of one of thesefew women, through a qualitative approach, a structured interview was conducted with a young Physics doctor and instructor at a Federal Institute of Technological Education in Paraíba, Brazil, focusing on her formative and professional trajectory. The results indicate a difficult trajectory, marked by gender bias and discrimination, pressure to show capacity in front of men during the training years, in addition to personal and family absences and restraints. In teaching, the lack of credit of a female professor of Physics before students stood out. The research project was funded by CNPq/Brazil.
