Abstract

Summary

The article addresses the Nazi expedition in Amapá, which gave rise to the documentary about a German Amazon-Jari Expedition. The general objective of this article is to show the importance of documentary as a historical source and describe how actions were planned for production and the most relevant aspects demonstrated in the documentary, produced between 1935 and 1937. In the methodological course, a bibliographic survey was used to organize the theoretical reference and use of the survey of historical documents, films and historical documentaries on Nazism during the two great world wars and photographic collections of German travelers. It was concluded that the documentary about the Nazi expedition in the river Jari presented, because of the total crossing of the river Jari - Amapá, nuances of the meeting of the Nazis and riverside and the cultural shock with the Apalai and Wayanã Indians who participated voluntarily in the collection of animal pelts, props and cultural objects, in addition to the documentary bring a representation of aspects of fauna and flora and be the result of exchange of experiences in favor of a science model.
