Abstract

Liberty, in its classic conception, has been constantly connected to the negative idea of non-coercion. On the other hand, individual liberties linked to this concept frequently include the right to property. In this work, we study the relation between the concept of liberty as non-coactions and the right to private property and we locate points that lead to the comprehension of the right to property as a wall to the exercise of liberty as non-coactions.
