This article reflects on school dropout rates in Youth and Adult Education (EJA), analyzing their causes and implications in light of Jacques Rancière’s radical democracy. Drawing on philosophy as a practice of concept creation and a critical reading of reality, the study discusses how philosophical education can contribute to student retention by fostering listening, recognition, and emancipation. The research is grounded in a theoretical-reflective approach, connecting authors such as Rancière, Deleuze, and Velasco with lived experiences in educational settings. It concludes that philosophizing means resisting silencing and affirming the power of anyone’s voice.
