A diversidade cultural é uma riqueza da humanidade. Este pressuposto situou o lugar para desenvolver a pesquisa. O objetivo foi analisar a valorização da diversidade cultural na cidade de Palmas pelos/as professores/as em seus discursos. A abordagem metodológica foi qualitativa. O instrumento de coleta de dados foi a entrevista semi-estruturada. A coleta, sistematização e análise dos dados se deram a partir do conteúdo expresso pelo discurso docente. Foi observado o fato de a realidade não ser problematizada tomando como enfoque as implicações educacionais. O complemento da argumentação dos docentes atribui aos familiares uma falta de compromisso com a escolaridade dos filhos. A educação multicultural é um desafio ao professorado diante das mudanças nas atitudes e posturas cotidianas para fortalecer a inclusão social e cultural.Downloads
