To this end, as a research methodology, bibliographic research was used to provide a deep dive into the fundamentals of the theme, accessing reports of experiences, guides, and relevant authors. The results present a compendium of the CBL evolution as an active methodology, and how it contributes to innovation in teaching, thus aiming to promote discussions and bring contributions to other studies in this area, in addition to inspiring researchers to new scientific incursions.
