Experience report: a guide for communicators defending women's human rights in the media

The objective of this story is to present the trajectory of elaboration of the Guia de Enfrentamento da Violência contra as Mulheres: directors for responsible coverage, directed to the professionals of communication in Paraíba with a view to contributing to coverage that respects the human rights of women for the media in cases about violence against women. gender and feminicide. The story was divided into six parts, including the introduction, in which we present, succinctly, how the idea of this Guide arose, and in other topics, we show its importance for the construction of an ethical and responsible media, which contributes to the confrontation with gender violence in the state of Paraíba, presenting the achievements that have been obtained since its launch, such as the attention of the Federal Public Ministry in the elaboration of recommendations to public organizations and for the means of communication for the people, based on the contents of this manual, as well as the promotion of debates and offices in institutions that operate in them prol two direitos das mulheres. For this story, we use the case study method (Gil, 2008).
