PODER, SEXUALIDADE E LIBERDADE: CONSTITUIÇÃO DO SUJEITO EM FOUCAULT

Michel Foucault, em sua obra A Vontade de Saber, primeiro volume de sua História da Sexualidade, propõe, para além de uma analítica da sexualidade na sociedade Ocidental, na qual introduz a noção de dispositivo de sexualidade, uma outra concepção de poder cujo estudo histórico-teórico revela ser positiva e exercida sobre a vida. Tal representação positiva do poder, constituída decorrente toda uma série de especificidades polimorfas, é ao fim analisada por Foucault a partir da teoria do bio-poder. A analítica da sexualidade, então, é formulada consequentemente a esse bio-poder. Este artigo visa, assim, compreender a relação entre o bio-poder e a sexualidade, para enfim voltar-se àquilo que Foucault, no encerramento de A Vontade de Saber, chama de “ironia” do dispositivo de sexualidade, e que possibilita analisar o entendimento de Foucault acerca da liberdade e da liberação, de tal modo que ao final será possível apreender a percepção foucaultiana da constituição do sujeito.Downloads
