This paper aims to show the contemporaneity of Frantz Fanon's decolonial thought and its relevance to the critique of coloniality. The Algerian War served as a motto for Fanon to reflect on the stages of decolonization, the way in which the colonized are only freed from lethargy, from the contemplation of their body violated and silenced by the cycle of colonial brutality, when they constitute themselves as subjects of a historical process through action.
