THE AESTHETIC EXPERIENCE AND THE DISCOVERY OF MEANING IN LOGOTHERAPY

Abstract

The forms of perception of aesthetic qualities in the aesthetic experiences are related to the noological dimension of the human person. The purpose of this article is to demonstrate the interface between philosophical aesthetics and logotherapy through a reflection on the experience of discovering meaning through art. In order to relate the knowledge of the aforementioned psychological approach with this area of philosophy, a phenomenological study of the works of Viktor Frankl was carried out, as well as a philosophical study of the work of Maria E. Reicher. It is evident that one of the means of encountering meaning is experiential values. This relates to the aesthetic experiences that the subject is able to perceive and experience throughout life.
