Publication of v. 19, n. 1 (2026) of REC

2026-05-09

Dear readers, researchers, and educators,

It is with great pleasure that we announce the publication of Volume 19, Issue 1 (2026) of the Revista Espaço do Currículo (REC). This issue features the thematic dossier “CURRICULUM AND RESEARCH WITH EVERYDAY LIFE: BETWEEN LINES OF FABULATIONS AND SELF-WRITING,” organized by Professors Ana Carolina Justiniano (UFSB), Carlos Eduardo Ferraço (UFES), Conceição Gislane Nóbrega Lima de Salles (UFPE), and Leonardo Rangel dos Reis (IFBA).

The dossier brings together articles written by researchers from different regions and institutions across Brazil and Europe, emphasizing the power of everyday life as spaces and times of resistance, creation, and aesthetic experimentation in curriculum research. The texts engage multiple forms of writing — including letters, essays, escrevivências, conversations, diaries, cordel literature, and fabulations — while challenging hegemonic models of academic writing and affirming other ethical, aesthetic, political, and poetic possibilities for curriculum production.

The discussions featured in this issue address topics such as curriculum, everyday life, performativity, assessment, curriculum policies, the New Secondary Education reform, the BNCC, teacher education, difference, hospitality, aesthetic writing, and artistic-cultural production, in dialogue with philosophies of difference.

In addition to the thematic dossier, Volume 19, Issue 1 (2026) also includes continuous-flow articles, an interview, and a book review.
