The Revista Espaço do Currículo (REC) reminds the academic community that submissions for the special issue titled “CURRICULA AND DISPUTES OVER MEANING: Moral Panics and Everyday Insurgencies in Latin America and the Caribbean” remain open until July 30, 2026.

Organized by Sabina Sebasti (UDELAR/Uruguay), Paola Bonavitta (CONICET/Argentina), Nilcélio Sacramento de Sousa (UFT), and Marcio Caetano (PPGE/UFPel – PPGEDU/UFRGS), this special issue brings together research and reflections on curricular disputes arising from the rise of the far right, moral panics, and the multiple forms of resistance and insurgency emerging in the daily lives of Latin American and Caribbean schools.

Submission deadline: July 30, 2026

Submissions must be made through the UFPB Journal Portal, on the Revista Espaço do Currículo page.
