Abstract

This Dossier is the result of research by the Observatory for Teacher Education in the field of Art Teaching (OFPEA / BRARG) and the Latin American Network of Researchers in Teacher Education for Arts (LAIFOPA). Analyzes, from the current juncture, proposals for the Visual Arts teacher training curricula in Brazil and Latin America. Studies are guided by the concept of praxis in the approach of dialectical historical materialism. It seeks to discuss social processes that generate different national and international curricular proposals for the training of Arts teachers. It aggregates texts by researchers from the North, South, Midwest, Southeast and Northeast regions of Brazil and Argentine researcher, members of the observatory. The research results are systematized with the objective of dimensioning changes and continuities in the curricula of Visual Arts teacher training and problematizing contemporary curriculum proposals that restrict autonomy and freedom of creation in teacher training.
