This text presents a review of the book Case study in research and educational evaluation, by Marli Eliza Dalmazo Afonso de André, a publication with a relevant contribution in the field of research in education. The work provides an overview of the qualitative case study in education when talking to the main theoretical references on the subject, using an accessible and inviting language when dealing with the essential aspects and challenges that permeate the research with qualitative case study in education. Reading this book is of fundamental importance for initiates and beginners in the field of producing knowledge about the educational phenomenon.
