It discusses the Socio-Educational System in the State of Paraíba considering its advances and challenges, as well as the legislation that forms the system of guarantee of rights. It is known that the socio-educational system only came to be regulated in 2012 with the law of the National System of Social and Educational Assistance - SINASE, which seeks to guarantee the right and full protection to adolescents in conflict with the law. SINASE has the competence to elaborate ten-year socio-educational plans, with the objective of articulating in a network with other public policies education, health, culture, among others. Articulated between the three levels of the sphere, SINASE constitutes the ordered set of principles, rules and criteria, of a legal, political, pedagogical, financial and administrative nature. With regard to the State of Paraíba, the Socio-Educational System is strengthening following the principles and guidelines laid down in the National and State Plan. The research used was bibliographically, with data contained in the State Plan.
