Revista Espaço do Currículo has just published volume 17, number 2 of 2024, entitled "THE CURRICULUM, TIME AND SOCIAL NETWORKS: places of affection and acceleration of life". Organized by Professors Graça Reis (PPGE/UFRJ), Soymara Emilião (UERJ) and Professor Doctor Allan Rodrigues (PPGE/UNESA-UFRJ), this edition brings together texts that explore the paths and modes of action of the curricula in circulation in schools, highlighting the gaps and fissures in the face of the acceleration of the world, the fragmentation of attention and interests shaped by the rhythm of social networks. Given this scenario, the texts question how school practitioners are creating new curricular strategies to face the sensation of an increasingly short and superficial time, dominated by the dynamics of social networks. By reflecting on the curriculum from another temporality, the authors propose to disfigure traditional training, which for a long time was considered ideal, centered on a Eurocentric model of thinking, doing and knowing education as a space of fixed temporality.
