Abstract

This study aims to reflect how fairy stories used in manipulation of advertisings. As corpus, we selected three advertisingsof different campaigns: an international, one national and one local. We usethe Semiotics of French line to guide our study, because we want to demonstratethe effectiveness of this theoretical model for the field of publicity and ofmarketing. Therefore, from advertising text and semiotic tools, we understandhow the advertising strategy with fairy stories is architected and what themain elements of fairy stories are redeemed to effect this strategy.

Author Biographies

Patrícia Margarida Farias COELHO, Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte-UFRN

Graduated in Letters (Portuguese / English) (1995) and Pedagogy (2016). She is a psychoanalyst formed by the school "Open Dialogues". Specialization in Portuguese Language Didactics in Higher Education from the Faculty of Sciences and Letters of Bragança Paulista (1997). She holds a Master's degree in Letters from Mackenzie Presbyterian University (2007) and a Master's degree in Psychoanalysis from "Open Dialogues" School (2014). PhD in Communication and Semiotics from the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo (2010). She has a postdoctoral degree from (i) Postgraduate Program in Intelligence Technologies and Digital Design from PUC-SP with FAPESP scholarship, (ii) Postdoctoral Degree in Digital Communication from the University of Murcia and (iii) Postdoctoral Degree in Communication Digital by Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona and (iv) Post-Doctorate in the Education and Curriculum Program under the supervision of José Armando Valente. She served as a visiting professor at Pompeu Fabra University in Barcelona - Spain. She is currently a permanent teacher in the Master's and Doctorate Program in Education at the Methodist University of São Paulo (UMESP since 2018) and a permanent teacher (20 hours) since 2019 in the Master's Program in Education, Subjectivity and Psychoanalysis at the Ibirapuera University (UNIB). She was a full professor at the Interdisciplinary Master in Human Sciences at the Santo Amaro University (UNISA) and International Relations coordinator at the same institution (2016 - 2018) and a collaborating professor at the Professional Master Course in "Education and New Technologies" at UNINTER since 2016-2017 . Visiting Professor at the University of VIC / Spain from 2013 to 2014. Permanent Visiting Professor at the University of Santander - Colombia. She is currently coordinator of Lato Sensu Courses at the Methodist University of São Paulo: Special and Inclusive Education and Management Education: Direction and Coordination. Has experience in Communication, Digital Media, Content Analysis and Linguistics, with emphasis on French Semiotics. It was approved in 2009 in the Adjunct Professor Contest of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte and in 2010 it was approved in the Adjunct Professor Contest of the Federal University of Goiás, according to public notice 092/2009 for the area of ​​advertising. Hi approved in 2009 in the Written Test and the Didactic Test, in the Competition for Assistant Professor of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte, for the Discipline of "Semiotics Applied to Advertising Language" and in 2010.
