Recepción crítica de Cumbres borrascosas: problemas de mujeres y literatura

El objetivo de este trabajo es examinar la fortuna crítica de Cumbres borrascosas (1847), de la escritora inglesa Emily Brontë, desde las primeras impresiones - que causaron furor en la sociedad inglesa del siglo XIX - hasta la actualidad. En este documento se aborda el contexto histórico en el que se produjo la obra con respecto a cuestiones relacionadas con las mujeres escritoras, la escritura de la prosa y la poesía, la doble visión literaria de la crítica androcéntrica en relación con las obras de autoría femenina, especialmente lo que se refiere a la única novela de Brontë, que se publicó bajo un seudónimo masculino, y otros aspectos. También se discutirá cómo se ve esa obra teniendo en cuenta teorías que abordan la forma y el contenido de la novela, como la Nueva Crítica, la feminista, la poscolonial, la marxista, entre otras.
