Revista Espaço do Currículo Extends the Submission Deadline for Volume 19, Issue 3 (2026)

2026-07-31

Revista Espaço do Currículo (REC) informs researchers, faculty members, and students that submissions for the special issue "CURRICULA AND DISPUTES OVER MEANING: Moral Panics and Everyday Insurgencies in Latin America and the Caribbean" remain open. The deadline for manuscript submissions has been extended to August 20, 2026.

Edited by Sabina Sebasti (UDELAR, Uruguay), Paola Bonavitta (CONICET, Argentina), Nilcélio Sacramento de Sousa (UFT, Brazil), and Marcio Caetano (PPGE/UFPel – PPGEDU/UFRGS, Brazil), this special issue seeks to bring together research that examines curriculum disputes shaped by the rise of the far right, moral panics, and the multiple forms of resistance and insurgency emerging in the everyday life of schools across Latin America and the Caribbean.

The extended deadline is intended to encourage broader participation from the academic community, providing additional time for the submission of manuscripts that contribute to advancing this important debate, particularly in a context marked by intense disputes surrounding education, curriculum, and democracy.

Manuscripts must be submitted through the UFPB Journals Portal via the Revista Espaço do Currículo webpage, where the Instructions for Authors are also available.

Submission deadline: August 20, 2026
