LITERACY OF YOUNG PEOPLE, ADULTS AND THE ELDERLY: THE EXPERIENCE OF REAJAI IN A CLASS AT THE SANTOS REIS SANCTUARY IN NATAL/RN

Abstract

It consists of the report of the actions of the Literacy and Education Network Project for Youth, Adults and the Elderly (REAJAI), linked to the Dean of Extension of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte. Specifically, it provides knowledge of the pedagogical practices under development in the literacy class for young people, adults and the elderly, located in the Sanctuary of Santos Reis, east of the capital Natal. Anchored in Freire's theory and sociolinguistic studies, the writing of the experience provides knowledge of some elements of planning, the activities produced by the students and the photographic records. The reflection brought demonstrates the relevance of the project for the social transformation of people and the constitution of teaching knowledge for the scholarship holders involved in REAJAI.
