It is intended to present partial research results that are called philosophical notes. Philosophy & Literature houses teachers, students and an external community that, among many things, considers that access to knowledge is part of the historical and cultural heritage of planetary subjects, in addition to a right supported by laws that protect human dignity. The objective of the work is, in light of the project mentioned here, to map the scope of resocialization, through literature and philosophy, in the União da Vitória Public Prison. The technical procedures used were bibliographic, as well as action research, since the coordinators of the extension project are the same ones who carry out the research presented here. The results found, even if partial, are significant for the proposed debate, since, within the public prison, those deprived of their liberty show improvements in their behavior, as well as demonstrating an interest in resuming their studies, with a view to higher education. For all these reasons, auspicing socialization as social consciousness, even in the context of Brazilian prisons, it is believed that educational projects are important bets, which demarcate challenges and horizons in contemporary times, for the person deprived of liberty.
