RAWLSIAN REFLECTIVE EQUILIBRIUM AS A METHODOLOGICAL DEVICE APPLIED TO THE TEACHING OF PHILOSOPHY IN HIGH SCHOOL

The study aims to describe the theoretical-methodological path necessary to carry out teaching work in Philosophy in High School based on the use of theoretical elements arranged in the conception of Justice as Fairness developed by the North American philosopher John Rawls, with an emphasis on Broad Reflective Balance method. The proposal in question is based on the need to obtain, through the educational process, individuals capable of enjoying their citizenship as people with political autonomy, according to Rawlsian theory. Discussions about the method of reflective balance characterized as broad were discussed and the way in which this method can be applied in Philosophy classes in high school was also demonstrated.
