This article investigates the articulation between Philosophy and Art as tools for intellectual emancipation, focusing on the use of literature in the teaching of philosophy. Based on a theoretical framework that includes Gallo, Deleuze, Rancière, and Freire, it argues that literature, by sensitizing and problematizing, functions as a privileged philosophical device. Analyses of works by Lobato and Machado de Assis, from the perspectives of Nietzsche and Sartre, illustrate how literary narrative tensions philosophical concepts and fosters philosophizing. Finally, the discussion is situated within the Brazilian educational context and the role of PROF-FILO (Professional Master's Degree in Philosophy) in promoting critical and emancipatory education.
