Revista Espaço do Currículo has just published volume 17, number 3 of 2024, entitled “EDUCATIONAL REFORMS AND DISPUTES IN CURRICULAR POLICIES”. Organized by Professors Joedson Brito dos Santos (UFCG), Luciana Leandro da Silva (UFCG) and Álvaro Moreira Hypolito (UFPel), this edition is the result of a collaborative effort by researchers from the Postgraduate Program in Education at the Federal University of Campina Grande and the Center for Studies in Educational Policies, linked to the Postgraduate Program in Education at the Federal University of Pelotas, which for several years have been dedicated to studying educational reforms both in Brazil and in other countries. The objective is to contribute to discussions about the effects of recent educational reforms on curricular practices and policies, in Brazil and around the world, as well as to problematize disputes in this field. Such reforms are part of the broader, structural movement based on managerialist principles, via standardization and homogenization, teacher accountability, as well as a dispute mechanism for control of training, teaching work and the school curriculum.
