A PROPOSAL FOR PHILOSOPHICAL LITERACY FOR HIGH SCHOOL AT MANOEL DE MELO MONTENEGRO STATE SCHOOL IN THE CITY OF IPANGUAÇU/RN

This article is the result of research conducted in the Professional Master's Program in Philosophy (PROF-FILO), UERN campus, Caicó/RN. This study discusses the application of an intervention proposal derived from contemplation of excerpts from philosophical texts employed in Philosophy classes. This proposal addresses the lack of positive impact on high school students at Manoel de Melo Montenegro State School in the city of Ipanguaçu/RN. Therefore, the aim is to analyze the educational-philosophical intervention developed from a set of didactic units focused on the Paulo Freire method, using the popular poetry of Traíra (1986) and Caldas (2009) as a foundation for generating meaningful vocabulary. Zambrano (2021) and Nietzsche (2012; 2009; 2008; 2005) form the theoretical basis for the convergence of Philosophy and Poetry. The results showed that, in accordance with Freire's viewpoint (2022; 2011; 2001; 1997; 1963), there was acknowledgment of the cultural identity of the students. Therefore, it is evident that it is possible to use popular poetry in philosophy classes as a proposal for written production in a specific textual genre. Additionally, the popular poetry of Traíra (1986) and Caldas (2009) may serve as a means to facilitate students' engagement with philosophical knowledge.
