This article deals with the trajectory of the UFSCar Professional Master's in Philosophy network program (Prof-Filo UFSCar) in its notably challenging elements and previous historical rescues that denote its continuity, whether at the institutional or extramural scope, beginning as a pre- conception at the State University of Londrina and at the Southern Brazilian Forum of Philosophy and Teaching. In such scenarios, pedagogical policies emerge demanding the consolidation and promotion of Philosophy as a school subject in Brazilian Basic Education, reintroduced as mandatory in secondary school curricula, together with Sociology, through legal means in the years 2006-2008.
The trajectory of continuity around Philosophy as a school subject has an interface in teacher training, which involves the need to offer teacher training courses. In this sense, UFSCar stands out as the first institution to offer a Specialization course (Postgraduate Lato Sensu) in Philosophy Teaching nationwide. There were two offers in the years 2014-15 and 2017-18, in addition to events, workshops and extension activities.
Following this trajectory, Prof-Filo UFSCar began its first class in 2017, and we are currently in the seventh edition.
