Abstract

This is an interview with Ana María Shua, born in Buenos Aires, a renowned Argentine writer, recognised for her numerous national and international awards. With over eighty published works to her name, the author works across a variety of genres, including novels, poetry, short stories, journalistic articles, children’s literature and essays, with a particular focus on microfiction. According to her official website, her work has been translated into more than sixteen languages. Among her titles published in Brazilian Portuguese, the following are worth mentioning: *Jewish Tales with Ghosts and Demons* (1994); *Death as a Side Effect* (2004); *The Door to Leave the World* (2001); and *The Book of Jewish Wisdom* (2005).
