During the Covid-19 pandemic, the need for social isolation transformed homes into classrooms, requiring education professionals, students, and families to make unprecedented technological and pedagogical adaptations. This work seeks to discuss the experience of high school teachers from public and private schools in Recife and the Metropolitan Region, from the context of teaching-learning in the pandemic period and the return to face-to-face learning, reflecting on the implications of these experiences in the training of education workers and in their working conditions, focusing on the pedagogical use of digital technologies. It was a period marked by barriers that further highlighted Brazilian socioeconomic inequalities and put to the test the training of teachers and the lack of the necessary structure to carry out their planning and methodological choices. Despite this, they fought to transform realities and rebuild education in Brazil, drawing important lessons from them.
