This article analyzes the role of large-scale assessments in Brazilian educational policies, focusing on their effects on the teaching of Philosophy. It is based on the hypothesis that such assessments operate as devices of power that reconfigure school organization and pedagogical practices. Drawing on the theoretical framework of Michel Foucault, these assessments are understood as elements of an evaluative governmentality, oriented toward the conduct of conduct through mechanisms of control, comparison, and normalization. In dialogue with Christian Laval, it is argued that this rationality is articulated with neoliberalism, which redefines education according to the principles of performance, competitiveness, and economic utility. Finally, based on Jean Baudrillard, the article discusses the production of a simulacrum of school, in which indicators no longer represent educational reality but instead come to constitute it. It concludes that this process implies the reduction of the teaching of Philosophy to a logic of performance, thereby compromising its formative and critical dimensions.
