CONGADAS AS CURRICULUM POLICY IN MACHADO-MG
tensions arising from the decolonial inflexion

This text, part of a broader research project, undertakes a documentary analysis of how Congadas were incorporated into the Political-Pedagogical Projects of schools in the municipal education network of Machado-MG, following the enactment of Law 3354/2021, which creates the Incentive Plan for the Valorization of Congadas in schools. To this end, it focuses on the analysis of three PPPs (one preschool and two early elementary schools) to verify how this curriculum policy was incorporated. The analysis of the materials is based on the intersection of curriculum and culture studies with a decolonial inflection. The text concludes by arguing that, even with its weaknesses and limitations, this policy has an important disruptive character, serving as an important device for building work in the gaps of the colonial wound, finding possibilities for another kind of education, designed based on pluriversal assumptions.
