The ideas presented and discussed here are based on a doctoral research whose objective was to demonstrate and analyze the existence of political-pedagogical links between Popular Education and Agroecology, through a study about the historical process of constitution of the Brazilian agroecological movement. To this end, bibliographic references and primary sources were used, such as documents and interviews with historical subjects of this social and political construction. The research reveals that, from a political point of view, this bond is expressed by the character of resistance and growing popular protagonism in the construction of development alternatives for the country. From the pedagogical point of view, due to the preponderance of reality experienced as a point of departure and arrival, and an intense reflective praxis, instituting elements of a dynamic social movement that builds Agroecology in Brazil, while updating Popular Education.
