Recent studies on curriculum have highlighted how the knowledge and educational practices occurring both inside and outside educational institutions have become one of the strategies for the subjectivation of teaching. This study aims to analyze how school educational practices have subjected the teaching profession. It has a bibliographic nature based on post-structuralist and post-critical theories, understanding science and writing, as well as identities, as unfinished, unstable, and fluctuating. In this sense, the study draws primarily on the works of Silva (1994, 1996, 1999, and 2000), Apple (1997), Apple and Teitelbaum (1991), Paraíso (2019), and Foucault (1993, 2002, 2004, and 2013). The research indicates that the practice of teachers has been increasingly influenced by neoliberal logic and neoconservative dictates. This interference destabilizes the authorship and the aspects of freedom and autonomy of these professionals, as they are exposed in the media. However, there are still those who dare to resist and fight. In classrooms and simultaneously outside them, teachers are creating strategies, making fissures, and seeking gaps in the curriculum to (re/re)construct a school and society, enhancing the production of alternative subjectivities.
