Education 5.0 in São José dos Campos/SP

This article aims to report the experience lived in the municipal network of São José dos Campos/SP, a municipality that has fourteen (14) schools certified by the Education 5.0 Program. Education 5.0 is an approach under construction and debate that integrates digital technologies and Artificial Intelligence in contexts in which the student is active, creative, critical and reflective. This report was prepared based on an on-site visit carried out by the authors, in August of this year, allowing observation and knowledge of the physical spaces, dynamics, and dialogue with managers, teachers and students. Among the results, investment in teacher training, infrastructure and digital technologies stands out, ensuring that Education 5.0 is not just a law, but a reality in the municipality. Finally, the question arises about the need for equity and accessibility to quality education for all, while highlighting the joy and motivation that drive people to learn and fight increasingly for a transformative education.
