Education policies have recently linked the concept of curriculum to the meaning of a formal document, whose framing alludes to the organization of common socio-cultural experiences and realities. In light of such considerations, the scope of this paper is to highlight the prescriptive guidelines for the development/revision of Political-Pedagogical Projects (PPPs) aligned with the National Common Curricular Base in Paraíba's Agreste Town between the years 2022 and 2023. Methodologically, this is an exploratory study carried out in the context of the implementation and alignment of school curricula with the national and state curricular proposals. The data analyzed is materialized in four bimonthly teaching projects, a guide for revising the Pedagogical Projects in the light of the new curricula and a questionnaire to gather information from the teaching units. The findings indicated a situated-historical curriculum, whose pedagogical/teaching guidelines are intertwined with the strategies used to draw up school PPPs, as well as being based on pre-established normative/official prescriptions.
