The paper brings reflections on the production, in the daily life of early childhood education, of pedagogical practices articulated with anti-racist pedagogy. It presents findings from qualitative research, with school daily life, involving the experience of one of its authors. In that moment, she carried out her educational process as a researcher teacher, teaching at an early childhood institution, linked to a municipal public network. The paper is designed through the teacher memories and some of her records of her work, especially with a black child of this group, when she proposed to herself to articulate children's literature to the meeting with the blackness. The development of the research focuses on the racism, as a social production that feeds the inequality and hurts children and childhood, and besides problematizes the racism as an issue of early childhood education. It also signs the relevance of its confrontation as a process that conducts to the exercise of an anti-racist pedagogy, an imperative movement to produce the freedom education. Its conclusions highlight the power of children's literature to mobilize reflection, dialogue and meet with the blackness as an affirmation of the right to the difference.
